Strong pressure on children's books in schools
Whether in Guinea or other African countries, children's books are appearing in schools on a massive scale. This momentum is partly due to the Educational Resources project, but not entirely. Alongside the Ministry of Education, which has equipped nearly 50 schools as part of this initiative, about ten associations have funded donations for schools or libraries. Ganndal Publishing would like to acknowledge these partners in our children's education: Adiflor and the Children of AĂŻr have provided digital books to schools in Tunisia and libraries in Guinea; Lire autour du Monde and COBIAC are working with public libraries in Guinea; AKGN Association Kankalabe Nancy, Lire sous le baobab, the Solidarity Schools of Strasbourg, and the Young Guineans of France are also contributing. have equipped school libraries or provided mobile libraries and closely monitor the proper functioning of this equipment. Thousands of children are gradually discovering the joy of reading at school. The Children's Book Fair (SILJ-Conakry) will be the next major event for schools, featuring reading competitions, games, and meetings with Guinean children's authors. Thirteen African publishers will be present, offering a wealth of new releases!
